CiberIA

CiberIA is an R&D project that aims to explore the use of the capabilities of a Cyber Defence Centre (CDC) and its underlying elements (IDS, SIEM, SOAR) to advance the integration of cybersecurity and AI. The use of these elements will not only provide a context for the deployment of various AI-based solutions, but will also facilitate various tasks that are essential for the maintenance of such solutions, such as the availability of up-to-date information from various verticals and the continuous verification of the functioning of the mechanisms.

The areas that are considered under the scope of this project are as follows:

• AI and Incident Response. Design mechanisms based on maintainable and verifiable AI and other techniques to enable incident detection and response, including proactive detection modules.
• AI and Automation of Cybersecurity Processes. Design and development of AI-based automatable cybersecurity processes focused on threat prevention (both technical and human).
• AI Security and Robustness. Design and development of solutions that model different aspects related to AI threats and adversarial and hostile AI.
• Data Protection and Privacy in AI. Design and develop mechanisms for data protection and privacy-aware AI-based cybersecurity.
