Catedra Internacional UMA 2023

The main objective of the “Catedra Internacional UMA 2023” is to design and develop an effective, practical and widely usable environment for training in cyber security technologies. This environment will target both students and professionals from the public and private sector, thus stimulating the development of the sector and promoting specialised training and qualifications. This training environment will mainly focus on cyber defence related technologies (e.g. cyber defence centres (CDCs) and cyber-ranges).

This environment will facilitate the “training of trainers”, who will in turn help to disseminate their knowledge to the rest of the country’s productive fabric and to society in general. This will promote a wider network of cybersecurity professionals, which is essential given the demands of the labour market. In addition, through the development of this environment, the University of Malaga will collaborate with other educational, training and business institutions to decisively promote continuous training (upskilling and reskilling), as well as professional accreditation and certification.
