Advanced Cryptography for Blockchain Applications
- Partnership with NuCypher Inc.

NICS Labs has been associated with NuCypher, a company based in Silicon Valley, since 2016 for the development of a decentralized key management system based on Ethereum, that offers cryptographically-enforced access control services. This system operates in a decentralized way and uses advanced cryptographic techniques developed by NICS, such as proxy re-encryption, threshold cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs, that securely embed access control functionality at the encryption level. The ultimate goal of this project is to create a basic infrastructure for the development of secure DApps (decentralized applications), which in turn will lead to numerous applications in many fields, such as fintech, identity management, and DRM.
From 2020 to 2023, NICS Lab will particpate in the NuCypher University Staking Program: https://blog.nucypher.com/university-staking-program/
